Staff Spotlight:
Lizbeth Cantor
From the very beginning of her career, she has been driven by a genuine desire to work directly with students and make a meaningful difference in their lives. Drawn naturally to roles that require patience and empathy, she found her calling as a one-on-one aide, a position that allows her to show up every day with purpose and heart.
Her days are anything but ordinary. From managing safe transitions to and from the bus, to keeping students engaged during morning meetings and circle time, she provides consistent academic and behavioral support that helps her students thrive. While managing behaviors can be one of the more challenging aspects of the role, she meets each moment with dedication and grace. What keeps her going? Celebrating her students' progress. Every milestone, big and small.
Outside of work, she loves spending quality time with friends and family over dinners and movies. She lives by a simple but powerful personal philosophy: love yourself first.
When asked what superpower she would choose, her answer was deeply moving. She said she would teleport back in time simply to tell her husband and parents that she loves them one more time. Having lost both of her parents to COVID-19 in 2020 and her husband to cancer in 2021, her strength and resilience speak volumes about the incredible person she is both inside and outside the classroom.
