HFI PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

Hawthorne Country Day School Graduation

Here at Hawthorne Foundation Inc., we have a staff of dedicated, talented professionals who play a critical role in helping our individuals learn and reach their full potential.  As part of your employment at Hawthorne Foundation Inc., we are pleased to offer multiple opportunities for professional development. Our professional development includes New Hire Orientation, ongoing in-service training, Modules, BCBA, and CTLE CEU’s.

During New Hire Orientation we introduce or refresh our staff to Applied Behavior Analysis through hands-on learning experiences. Once the staff complete their new hire orientation, an individualized professional development plan is created to ensure the staff receive the most beneficial training plan.  Many of our trainings provide BCBA CEU’s and NYS Education Department CTLE credits, which assist our certified faculty with ensuring their licensure is current and meets/exceeds the New York State requirements.  Ongoing staff development training also provides our employees with a career path within the Agency, including opportunities to become Registered Behavior Technicians, BCBAs or LBAs.  Hawthorne Foundation Inc. has affiliations/agreements with several area colleges that offer discounted tuition for HFI staff.

Our hybrid learning platform includes both live, in-person training, hands-on role-playing lessons, and e-learning.  Relias Learning Management System is fully implemented at Hawthorne Foundation Inc. to ensure staff have the ability to learn at any time. Relias’ vast library includes learning experiences for all New York State teaching and/or professional licensures.
